Just had to share these casual shots as they scream FALL to me in every sense of the word.

Celebrate Three in Costume!
Amidst warnings of Hurricane Sandy, we were delighted to celebrate this sweet girl’s 3rd birthday on a most gorgeous morning at the park. And this close to Halloween, everyone was in costume, of course. The birthday girl’s mom had thought of every detail, including a fun fall nature hunt, masks to decorate, make-your-own trail mix and a beautiful and delicious cake to enjoy.
A New Family of Four
A Pink Party
We spent this beautiful afternoon celebrating this young lady’s third birthday in all-pink style. Everything, including the attendees attire, was various shades of pink – the ombre layered birthday cake, all beverages, and the balloon ‘wall’ enclosing the yard, to name a few. Such a festive afternoon and a memorable birthday!
It’s a Girl!
A Complete Family Portrait
Pumpkin Patch
We took our boy to visit his first pumpkin patch recently… and as inexperienced parents, we hadn’t thought ahead to the fact that a whole farm full of pumpkins was to this little guy, a farm full of ‘balls’ to be thrown. Lesson learned. Even though it was an unseasonably grey and cool day, we still had a great time picking out pumpkins, petting some animals, riding on a hayride, and enjoying a picnic with friends and family.
Day at the Zoo!
The Reston Zoo is one of this sweet family’s favorite spots around DC, so we decided to make it the location of their family session. We had a great time feeding the ducks and geese, and llamas… my personal favorite were the gorgeous, colorful parakeets! As you can see, their youngest was in love with all of the animals and quite fearless.
Our Sweet Boy
The saying about the shoemaker’s children never having any shoes certainly is true in our house… so I’ve decided to make more of an effort to get non-phone pictures of our sweet boy. After all, it’s hard to believe he is already nearing the 1.5 year mark so I know time will just continue to fly by.
The Twins Turn 3!
What a fun morning celebrating the third birthday of these sweet twins. We were all treated to an adorable Hungriest Caterpillar-themed party, complete with apothecary jars filled with each of the foods that the caterpillar had eaten on his way to becoming a beautiful butterfly. The twins were the perfect hosts; I was so honored to not only have the chance to celebrate with them but to also help record such a memorable day for their family.
