This little guy is super special to me since he’s one of my best friends’ from college sons. Sadly, our recent time together didn’t allow for a full shoot but I grabbed a few sweet shots of this guy and his mom… and couldn’t resist sharing.

Settling In At Home
After having been lucky enough to meet this little guy at his most new in the hospital, I loved spending the afternoon with this new family of three (or four, depending on who you ask… see the proud older puppy brother). The brand-new parents were so relaxed and took everything with their sweet little guy in stride… I only wish I had been so laid-back as a new mom.
Such Sweet Newness
Even though these hospital newborn sessions are the least planned, there is something incredibly beautiful about photographing an hours-old baby and his (or her) parents in the environment where they first met. This sweet little guy stole my heart with his adorably huge yawns and cuddly personality. Thanks, A family for letting me capture this glimpse of your family.
Saying Farewell to the Neighborhood
Mix a sweet family excited for an adventure in their new home (too many farewell sessions these days!) and some favorite costumes and boots and umbrellas on a suddenly rainy afternoon, and you’re certain to get one of the most memorable sessions. I felt like such a celebrity being followed around by my personal umbrella-holder. Thanks, R family, you will absolutely be missed!
A Family Morning at the Park
One Last Tour
I can barely stand to comment on this family’s session… as it was a farewell tour of some favorite places for a dear family who will soon depart the Washington, DC, area. In the end, though, I was thrilled to get capture some special moments for such sweet friends… missed as they will be.
Moving Up, Moving On
Admittedly, I am new to senior photos but I’m fairly certain this guy has set the bar rather high. What a fun afternoon spent with such a charismatic guy! I’m so excited to see where life takes him next!

A New Addition
Maybe it’s because I’m a mom of a boy, but there is something extra sweet and fresh about a little bundle of pink. This little lady is clearly loved by her fun big brother and adoring parents. I’m so happy to have had the chance to document this time in their lives.
A Spring Sweetie on the Hill
This little lady could not have been much happier or more fun. Or honestly… much cuter. And she happened to live on a picturesque tree-lined street on Capitol Hill that we took full advantage of on a gorgeous spring-like afternoon.
