Where are you located and do you travel?
I am located in the Falls Church area and serve metro Washington, DC, but may be available for select additional locations; contact me with any inquiries.

What can I expect while working with Kara Stevenson Photography?
First of all, thank you so much for trusting me with the opportunity to photograph your family. After scheduling the session and selecting a location, I like to find out a bit more about your family. I also make sure to take note of any specific shots that are a priority for your shoot and answer any additional questions you might have. At the time of the shoot, I will give you minimal direction regarding placement and lighting and then let you and your family do your thing. Your session will include a mix of posed and candid shots – to make sure we catch you at your best and most natural.

Can certain styles or ideas be incorporated into the session?
Of course! We will discuss any preferences or props that you would like to include during our pre-shoot consultation.

Do you take senior portraits?  How about headshots (corporate or otherwise)?
Absolutely!  I have done both in a number of different settings.  You can find more details and pricing for either session here.

Will the success of my shoot depend on the weather? What is your weather policy?
I would never say that the ultimate success of your shoot depends fully on the weather; however, I do attempt to select a location and time of day to take most advantage of the natural light. If the day of your shoot approaches and there is an ominous forecast, I will contact you to discuss whether or not we will proceed or postpone our session and reschedule to a mutually beneficial date, if necessary.

How and when do I pay? Do you require a deposit?
A deposit equal to half or your session fee is due at the time of booking. The balance of your account can be paid at the time of your session. Cash, check or credit card through Paypal is accepted.

Can I purchase prints of your pictures?
Absolutely. Please contact me for pricing.

How do I lock in your current rates?
Contact me to schedule your session and send in your deposit which is equal to half of your session fee.
